Welcome to the DCSI 2021! Here you will find the full DCSI schedule and the list of papers being presented in each session. Since this year’s DCSI is an online-only conference, we have created a virtual space for people to have casual conversations in. The virtual environment is powered by Wonder and can be found by clicking here<\/a>. You can provide your name and a picture to create a simple avatar for yourself and enter the virtual space. You control your avatar by clicking and dragging the mouse. Bumping into other avatars will start a Circle (a conversation) with those people, allowing you to use your webcam and\/or microphone to have a conversation. More than one person can bump into your Circle to participate in the conversation, but Circles are limited to 15 people. This virtual space will be open for the entirety of the conference, so feel free to head inside for breakout conversations or just some casual chat!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Registration is now open!<\/a> We ask all participants and attendees to register so we can have a record of those engaging in the conference sessions this year. The registration information, combined with the attendance logs from Teams, will help us better plan future events.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n Due to some limitations on the meeting structure of Teams, chat has been disabled in our meetings (we’re working on it!). In the meantime, if you join the Conference Sessions team using the code 8kqo0kw<\/strong> (or click this link<\/a>), you should be able to access the chat channel and ask questions freely in any session. You will have multiple channels to chat in as you wish. Currently, talks are divided into two types: Lightning Talks<\/strong> and Full Talks<\/strong>. Lightning Talks<\/strong> are 10 minute presentations associated with extended abstracts, while Full Talks<\/strong> are 15 minute presentations based on full paper submissions. In both cases, presenters will receive up to 5 minutes for questions. Due to the large number of submissions, sessions will be moderated with speed in mind, so presenters should make sure to stick to their allotted time limits.
All sessions in this year’s DCSI will be held on Teams via public meetings and you will find meeting links for each session attached to the timetable.
